Quikit uses Google APIs exclusively for user authorization and authentication. When you sign in using your Google account, we collect and store the following data:

The data collected via Google APIs and other means is used solely to improve the core functionalities of Quikit, ensuring that you have a seamless experience managing your customer relationships. Specifically, we use the data to:

  • Authenticate and authorize users to securely access the application.
  • Enhance user experience by personalizing features like email notifications, calendar syncing, and event management.
  • Improve our CRM features by enabling team collaboration and integrating sales tracking functionalities.

Important Note: We do not use your data for marketing purposes or for developing or training any AI/ML models. Your information is never shared with third parties for advertising or analytics.

3. Data Retention And Deletion

3.1. Data Retention

We retain your data for a period of 365 days from the date of collection. After this period, data may be retained based on client requests. In cases where data is stored beyond 365 days, we manage the data retention process through a FIFO (First In, First Out) method to ensure efficient data management.

3.2. Data Deletion

You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data at any time. To do so, please contact our support team at inquiry@quikit.ai, and we will delete your data within 7 working days of receiving your request. We ensure that your data is permanently deleted from our systems unless we are legally required to retain it for a longer period.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share your data with third parties except under the following circumstances:

  • Internal Use: Data is shared with our professional service teams solely for the purpose of improving the quality and performance of the product.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, we may disclose your personal information to comply with any legal obligations or enforceable governmental requests.

5.1. Opt-in and Opt-out

During the onboarding process, Quikit users are provided with clear opt-in and opt-out options for data collection and sharing. Users can opt-in to share specific information or features (such as syncing calendar events) and can opt-out at any time through their account settings.

5.2. Access, Correction, and Deletion of Data

We take the security of your data seriously and have implemented robust security measures to protect your personal information. These include:

  • Data Encryption: All sensitive data, such as personal details and Google API information, is encrypted using CryptoJS encryption at the frontend.
  • Cloud Security: We leverage the security infrastructure of Amazon Web Services (AWS), which provides industry-standard protection against data breaches and unauthorized access.

In the event of a security breach, we have a comprehensive incident response protocol in place:

  • Our IT team will immediately investigate the breach and assess its impact.
  • We will notify affected users and clients via email, providing details about the breach and any actions taken to mitigate potential harm.
  • We will take steps to secure the last working version of the system to minimize damage and prevent further incidents.

7. Cookies And Tracking Technologies

Quikit does not use cookies or any third-party tracking technologies. We prioritize user privacy and do not engage in tracking user behaviour for marketing or analytics purposes.

We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we will notify users via:

9. Legal Compliance

9.1. GDPR Compliance

Currently, Quikit does not serve clients in the European Union, and as such, is not required to comply with GDPR. However, we are committed to incorporating GDPR compliance should we expand our services to the European market in the future.

9.2. Compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act, 2023)

As Quikit operates in India, we comply with the provisions of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, of 2023. Under this law, we ensure that your data is processed lawfully, fairly, and transparently, in alignment with the principles of data minimization, accuracy, and accountability.
  • Purpose Limitation: We collect and process personal data only for the specified purposes mentioned in this Privacy Policy, which are limited to providing and improving Quikit’s services.
  • Consent-Based Processing: Quikit ensures that users provide explicit consentfor data collection and use. Consent is obtained at the time of onboarding through opt-in mechanisms, and users can withdraw their consent at any time.
  • Data Subject Rights: Users have the following rights under the DPDP Act:
    • Right to Access: You may request details of the personal data we hold about you.
    • Right to Correction: You can request corrections to your personal data if it is inaccurate or outdated.
    • Right to Erasure: You may request the deletion of your personal data, subject to legal and contractual restrictions.
  • Cross-Border Data Transfers: If personal data is transferred outside India, Quikit ensures that such transfers comply with the DPDP Act, and appropriate safeguards are in place to protect user data.
  • Data Breach Notifications: In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to user rights, we will notify the Data Protection Board and the affected individuals as required under the DPDP Act.
